FAQ

At the moment, I have three novels planned, with the possibility of a couple of novellas.

As of 2024, there are 8 novels in the series and I would love to write more. But after many years of working on Ancient Egypt, I’m switching gears and moving ahead a few thousand years to focus on my Byzantine Brides series.

That’s not to say I won’t come back to the AER series someday. I have visions of a story featuring Ebrium’s sister, Akshaka, in which all the main characters are reunited once again for an epic adventure. There was a hint in Book 3 that the Libyan twins, Batr and Makae, had one sister who survived the raid that killed the rest of their family. I’d like to see her reunited with her brothers, perhaps in a novella…

Queen Ahaneith, Pharaoh Wadj’s second wife, deserves her own story, and Imhotep, the furniture maker who makes appearances in In the Temple of Mehyt, The Anubis Mask, and The Cinnamon Garden deserves a second chance at love and a family.

And after all, Queen Merneith really did have a son, Pharaoh Den, and he is considered the first pharaoh to wear the double crown of Upper and Lower Egypt, signifying their unification under him. How he came to wear this crown is probably worth a story in itself.

So stay tuned and sign up for my mailing list and be one of the first to know as soon as I have a new release!

who

At the end of almost novel in the series is a Q&A or Inspirations section in which I tried to address which aspects of the novel are based on historical evidence, and how I’ve taken liberties with some things.

Not at the moment. I do, however, wish I had the time to do more. I’d like a second edition of the OAS cookbook, with updated research and new recipes.

I had so much fun researching the pasta cookbook, and found so many recipes I wanted to include but didn’t have the space for. I’d love to write Recipes for EVEN MORE Unusual Gluten Free Pasta one day!

I have a lot of pie recipes, and think it would be fun to collect them all one day into a little book, including some easy microwave pies and desserts!
